About Me

Aryeh Gurewitz

I'm here to help frum men build lives of both material and spiritual wealth.

Professional bio

Aryeh Gurewitz is the founder of Ashirus Coaching and Consulting, as well as the Director of Curriculum and Student Progress at Tomchei Temimim Ocean Parkway.

This unique combination of coaching and educational leadership reflects his mission to help unlock the full potential of the Jewish people.

At the heart of his work is the Lubavitcher Rebbe's teaching that every Jew is an ashir b'etzem—inherently wealthy, both spiritually and in the most literal sense.

After a decade dedicated to figuring out what it takes to actually help people thrive in a Torah-true way, Aryeh developed the Ashirus Framework, integrating the most vital insights from his study of Chabad Chassidus, his own personal growth journey, and four years of coaching frum men, into a clear roadmap toward a life of both material and spiritual wealth.

How my mission began

My journey

I didn't just wake up one morning and decide to call myself a coach. Here's my 15-year journey in short.

1.
Ivy League Business School

A good head and a childhood passion for sports led me to attend the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, with hopes of eventually working for the New York Yankees. Both Litvish kiruv rabbis and Chabad shluchim helped me discover a more meaningful path forward.

2.
3+ Years in Yeshiva

I learned in two Baal Teshuva yeshivos (Miami and Morristown) and one mainstream yeshiva (Chovevei Torah). I saw and experienced firsthand the challenges young men face in both kinds of yeshivos and both of these paths in life.

3.
"Chassidus Applied" Essay Contest Win

Encouraged by one of my teachers in yeshiva, I went all-in on the first ever Chassidus Applied essay contest - and won first place. In hindsight, my journey toward teaching Chassidus in a life-changing way was only getting started.

4.
Tomchei Temimim Ocean Parkway

At the end of my shana rishona, I was hired to develop the curriculum of the newly rebooted Lubavitch Yeshiva Ocean Parkway. My role has evolved and expanded significantly over the last eight years. By now, the yeshiva has established a reputation for being uniquely attentive to the success of each and every talmid.

5.
Family Life & Discovering Coaching

At first, I experienced my version of the challenges that are so common among men in our community. After investing significantly in support from multiple amazing coaches, my wife and I each found our way to a much better place.

6.
Coaching Frum Men - with Real Results

Once I saw how profoundly coaching changed my own life, it became clear to me that part of my mission in life must be to share it with others. My own coaches encouraged me, and here we are, four years and many thrilled clients later, Baruch Hashem!

My values

For close to ten years now, I've made it my business to figure out how to live a successful, well-rounded life as a frum man - based on Torah-true guidance, and starting with myself. Ashirus Coaching and Consulting is the result of my journey so far!

And the Rebbe teaches that the spiritual task of our time is to model our lives after the lives we will live in Yemos HaMoshiach.

What does that look like practically, for me?

First, it means providing my family with a life of true spiritual and material wealth - which is only possible by means of my own well-being and success. Second, it means helping everyone I can reach to do their version of that same task.

Nowadays, I also place high value on financial success, even though for a long time, it was not my priority at all. That's because I've seen from my own journey how important it has been, and the Rebbe himself highlights that reality and tells us to go for it.
